Well, we’re not sure what that crummy weather was last weekend but this weekend promises much more sun and warmth. We have rescheduled some of our Family Fun Fest Activities for Saturday, we hope you can join us for some fun!
As we face down our first heat wave of the season the board would like to take a minute to remind everyone of some health and safety items.
As always, if you need anything while you are at the club ask any member of staff or the manager on duty. We are here to help with whatever you need!Â
We continue to work towards completion of our new family bathroom area. We are currently waiting on a few pieces that are on back order. Once completed, this private bathroom (to the left of the men’s room) will be handicap accessible as well as family friendly. There is a shower, sink, toilet, baby changing station and child seat (for those times you need to secure them somewhere so you can use the facility or even just wash your hands!). The room has ample space to fit a stroller if needed. When completed we will let everyone know. Like most things lately, we are experiencing delays getting the pieces we ordered but hope to have them in very soon!
Finally, for those that are new to the club and a reminder for returning members, the Members Corner area of the website is a treasure trove of information for everything RM! We have been updating that page almost daily as we get closer to our full opening. We have posted updates to the swim/dive team pages and will have tennis info very soon. We will also be launching a new deck rental reservation system. We also post each newsletter there for your reference and there are links to all the Events, Swim & Dive and Tennis calendars. Be sure to book mark the page as there is always something new there!

We have partnered with SwimOutlet.com for our 2021 Swim & Tennis team gear. Gear is not required to participate on the teams or during team events, but it is a fun way to support the club. Purchases can be made: https://www.swimoutlet.com/russellmill/ and prices vary based on swim outlet deals. They are currently having their 25% off Memorial Day weekend sale!
Swim Cap orders must be placed in bulk. We are able to order personalized silicon (25) and latex caps (50), but both have quantity minimums. Fill out the google form to order your caps https://forms.gle/bX3pz1jb7NYajDQDA

We will be announcing our new head of tennis in our next newsletter. For now, we know that the tennis team will be playing weekly. In the past we have been part of the Sudbury Valley Junior Tennis League. That league is no longer running so we will be looking to play locally. For now we will have a mix of intra-squad matches and will look to play CS&T throughout the summer season.Â
We are very excited that our pickleball equipment will be arriving next week! We will have portable nets, paddles and balls that can be checked out in the office if your family would like to try it out! We will be taping pickleball lines on a couple of the courts so we can better utilize our tennis court area. We are working to have some Intro to Pickleball events at the beginning of the season.Â

We will be holding a weekly Cardio Tennis class and weekly Men’s Matches. We would love to know how many members are interested in Adult tennis events and what day/times work. Please email us at manager@russellmill.com and let us know what you would like to see and we will work with the tennis staff to make it happen!
Preseason Hours – Mon-Thurs – 3:00pm -6:00pm, Friday 3:00pm – 6:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 11:00am – 6:00pm.
Entering and Exiting the Club – This cannot be stressed enough. The driveway closest to the clubhouse is the entrance. The driveway closest to the dumpster is the exit. Please inform your guests of this before their arrival.
Check-In Location – upon entering the club your family needs to check in with the greeter. If you have guests there is a $5 per guest fee. Please be prepared to provide the greeter with the names of the members checking in daily.
Glass – Glass is not allowed on the pool deck. We have plastic cups in the office if you forget yours. Broken glass that gets in the pool is a serious situation that at minimum results in closure of the pool for multiple hours to ensure proper removal. In extreme cases, drainage is required
Trash – Please help us keep the club clean. We operate with a small maintenance staff. Please assist us by using the proper trash receptacles. If you notice one is full, alert a staff member. Please take a moment to scan your tables, under your chairs etc. for trash before you leave.
