While it feels like the summer is zipping by we still have a some of our most attended events coming up! We’ve got alot going on, here are some fun events happening this week:
Wednesday – We are going to take a stab at the Russell Mill Regatta again! Fingers crossed for good weather! Ship building will be from 12:30 – 1:30, races start right at 1:30! Be sure to use only cardboard and duct tape to make your vessel! We have plenty of cardboard on hand, just bring your duct tape! We will build the boats in the grassy area by the dive well. See you then! We could use a couple volunteers for this event, meet on the grass to help!
Thursday – The Dive-In movie is back! We will be showing the Mighty Ducks in the pool and Raya and the Last Dragon in the clubhouse for any kids who don’t want to be in the pool. The movie will start at dusk. Bring a float and enjoy a fun night at the pool! The cost is $5 per person. Be sure to bring sweatshirts and bug spray!
No swim meet this week! We will be practicing all week to prepare for champs! Watch for an email from Coach Craig this week with details for the championship meets. We will have more detailed info on the Swim, Dive & Tennis Banquet in the next newsletter. Stay tuned.
We have not had any luck finding matches with other summer programs so we continue to have intra-squad round robins. We are exploring the possibility of playing other programs outside of summer clubs either for this year, if we can, or next summer. As JT hears of other opportunities we will reach out to the tennis team in a separate email.
We will have more detailed info on the Swim, Dive & Tennis Banquet in the next newsletter. Stay tuned.
Our adult events are running on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. If you can RSVP in advance that is helpful, but feel free to come down if you find yourself with a last minute free night!
Hours – Mon-Fri – 12:00pm -8:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 11:00am – 8:00pm.
Entering and Exiting the Club – This cannot be stressed enough. The driveway closest to the clubhouse is the entrance. The driveway closest to the dumpster is the exit. Please inform your guests of this before their arrival.
Check-In Location – upon entering the club your family needs to check in with the greeter. If you have guests there is a $5 per guest fee. Please be prepared to provide the greeter with the names of the members checking in daily.
Glass – Glass is not allowed on the pool deck. We have plastic cups in the office if you forget yours. Broken glass that gets in the pool is a serious situation that at minimum results in closure of the pool for multiple hours to ensure proper removal. In extreme cases, drainage is required
Trash – Please help us keep the club clean. We operate with a small maintenance staff. Please assist us by using the proper trash receptacles. If you notice one is full, alert a staff member. Please take a moment to scan your tables, under your chairs etc. for trash before you leave.
